An infrared energy survey allows you to actually "see" energy loss patterns in your building. The FLIR (Forward
Looking Infrared) camera enables HOT/SHOT to detect heat escaping around windows, doors, and even from the
top of buildings (stack effect). The FLIR system can be helicopter mounted for aerial inspections of high rise
buildings or ground based for lower levels. We have engineered and designed a special ground vehicle with a
hydraulic life so that lower stories can benefit from the sensitivity of the FLIR system.
The data is then interpreted by our thermographers and can be placed on a Computer Aided Design
Drawing(CAD). The end result is a scaled drawing of your building depicted exactly where heat loss is occurring.
By correcting problems such as missing insulation and weatherization defects around doors and windows, energy
costs can be greatly decreased.
New construction can also benefit greatly from a heat loss survey. Contractors can be shown exactly where
problems exist and make corrections while the building is still under warranty.
